In art and design, a color scheme is basically, a set of colors that work well together to create a unified aesthetic. Color schemes are used to create style and appeal.
When used correctly, color can change the mood of the image, or impact the story. It can also draw the viewers eyes to a focal element.
But how to combine colors in a harmonious way? Color Theory and Color Wheels!
Color theory is a body of practical guidance to color mixing and the visual effects of a specific color combination. Is an aggregation of art and science that is used to determine what colors look good together.
Color wheels were invented in 1666 by Isaac Newton, who mapped the color spectrum onto a circle. The color wheel is the basis of color theory, because it shows the relationship between colors.
